Pesky Critters Destroying Your Garden?

Keep those pesky critters out of your garden once and for all. From small to large, critters can be quite bothersome when it comes to having a vegetable garden or even a flower garden.  One way to keep out smaller critters is to put chicken coup wire across the top of your entire garden. Old screen doors work great for this purpose as well. This method is very effective against raccoons, woodchucks, and other vegetable and fruit eating critters.

Another effective way of keeping out the small furry critters is to put aluminum foil around the crops, the shiny surface and metallic noise when stepped on scares the smaller critters away.  One last way to keep out small critters is to sprinkle bob cat or coyote urine the strong smell scares of most small critters. The urine is readily available at most home and garden centers.

Now if you are having a problem with deer, sticky plants or those with an unpleasant taste or texture will deter deer from nibbling on your tasty fruits and vegetables. Hair clippings can be extremely effective because they give off human odor.  A simple mixture of garlic, rotten eggs, hot pepper flakes, vinegar, and dish soap, mixed in a blender and reduced down with water, will save you money rather than buying basically the same mixture from a hardware store for about 10 times the price. This will not harm birds in anyway so do not worry, for some reason the stuff is not unpleasant to our little feathered friends at all.
